Arrow New project ideas ?

Well I am picking up a 72 k5 . It's going to need a lot of work but hey since when doesn't a project need work . My plan is to do a late 70's /80's style build on it . This will not be for the trails it will be primarily be a street /cruise in ride .

I need some pic's of 70's/80's style built k5's

Lots of chrome, too many shocks on every corner, tires no bigger than 33s, possibly 35s. (33s were "the next big thang" back in the day, remember?) Crazy neon colored shock boots, about 16 steering stabilizers.....pretty much what you'd see at a car show without being jacked 60 feet up in the air. I'll sniff around for some 80s flavor pics.

I'd get some black 8" chevy rally rims with the 36x1250 swampers, 6" lift front springs rear flip with zero rate and extended shackles with 56's. Shoot it with some gloss moss green, black grill/bumpers with a black bedliner spray on the lower rockers and interior.

80's was huge ballon tires and tripple roll bar days. typical period look would be like 38.5's on some skinny 15" wheels. dual shocks in the front (at least) and dual stbilixers. 8" all spring lift with a 2" body. chrome and a candy color. loud stereo. fur on the dash and on the inside of the top . plain black vinyl seats. tou did say 80's style right?

make sure you double stack the leaves for lift so the ride is authentic also.
